Submitting proposals for next year's conference
Being the techno-phobic-techno-clutz that I am, I am having technical difficulties writing this blog in Chinese, and I don't want to wait until I straighten out this problem before posting this blog (that may take another week), so I'll go ahead and write this message in English.
To be honest, I had technical difficulties just registering on this blogspot! It took me a whole hour. If I had one of you young upstarts at my elbow, I'm sure I could have done it in two minutes with your help. But I figured, if good ol' Li Kai - who is only a little bit younger than I - can do it, I should be able to. Haha! sorry Li Laoshi! As I said to you all before: Hou4sheng1 ke3wei4!
OK...here's the message that you should pay attention to: Someone in San Antonio told me that proposal submissions to ACTFL next year will be by individuals only, i.e. no panels. I found that very odd, so I checked it out, and sure enough it is NOT true. Submissions by panels and individuals will both be accepted. CLTA hasn't announced the proposal submission procedures yet, but you can see them on the ACTFL website. In any case, I think it would be more advantageous to submit via CLTA.
OK, now I'll see if this blog will actually get on the website.
